The making of this guitar started with the neck. I made it for another body but it didn't fit because of the tap tone. It is made of Swedish maple that is 15 years old with a rosewood fretboard. I made it 1997 and it was hanging in my shop more than 3 years.

The body was made between January and April 2000. It is made of Swedish Elm with straight and very boring grains. I was out of DC bodies at the time so I decided to make one with an opaque color and a pickguard. The color of this one is almost the same as on the SAAB I bought in 1999. I promised myself to keep the guitar as long as I own this SAAB.

I found this body together with the old neck to be a great combination. They really belong together. After preassembling I decided to put some nice vintage pickup on it. This was not a screaming axe, more in a low voice and sweet. My choice this time was Tom Anderson vintage pickups for middle and neck position and a medium humbucker, H2, in bridge. The hardware is Gotoh again.

This guitar is so nice to play the blues. It has such a nice sustain and a beautiful song. I have refused to sell it because I donít want to. When people come to my shop for testing guitars I always hide this one.
